Work

Kacey Ross is an engaged member of the field of Rhetoric and Writing. She earned her BA in English with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Writing in 2009 and then completed her MA, also in English with a specialization in Rhetoric and the Teaching of Writing in 2011. As a student, she worked as an undergraduate and graduate writing consultant in the UCCS Writing Center; she also worked as the Interim Director of that center after completion of her Master’s degree. Kacey’s research interests include rhetorical theory, transferability, and the rhetorical work of classroom documents. Since 2012, she has been an instructor in the Rhetoric and Writing Program at UCCS, where she enjoys challenging students to read critically and develop a rhetorical lens through which to view the world. When she’s not busy reading, writing, and grading, Kacey enjoys spending time with family, hiking, camping, and playing cards.
