About the Department

The UCCS Department of English focuses on teaching students how to analyze and interpret literary texts as well as write cogent, clear and thoughtful essays. Students will enhance their research skills and learn how to leverage both traditional and electronic research methods.

During the course of their university career, students will engage in discussion of texts, complete research and develop crucial skills for writing, research, analysis and communication.
